Cave symbols hint at 30,000-year-old origins of written communication

University of Victoria researches seem to have uncovered evidence of a written code that was in use approximately 10,000 years earlier than previously thought. Potentially staggering in its implications, although it'd be nice if we could figure out just what the signs mean.
