"Requiring federal agencies to assess the global climate change impacts from building a road will only block construction of the road and the jobs and economic activity that go with it, with no discernible impact on global climate," Inhofe said in a statement. "The NEPA Certainty Act will put a stop to this and give employers, including small businesses, greater certainty in their hiring and economic planning."

There's a big surprise.

Again, the bottom line is money. Is anyone really surprised by this?

Are we going to be the only country in the world that does not consider the implications of climate change with future construction? Canada has already implemented procedures to address issues like this with hopes of avoiding excessive costs due to anticipated climate change impacts. The party of no continues to make end runs around legislation dealing with climate change issues. The most recent legislation proposed by Senator Lisa Murkowski to bypass EPA regulations governing greenhouse house gas emissions is yet another example. Oil Industry Lobbyist had a hand in developing the draft legislation.

Thanks for the links... god, the more I learn the more irritating the right wing becomes! I don't mind dissenting opinions, but to ignore the data when it's staring you in the face is just stupid.

LOL... You're probably right! I seriously don't want to ever find out what that woman would do without restrictions.
